MONTHS after I registered for vaccination (almost 5 months later), there was finally an notification on Sunday afternoon for a Wednesday morning vaccination appointment. (A few people around my age who were waiting or didn't manage to get the AZ vaccine also got their appointments this week, so I guess it's finally our generation's turn now?).
At least it was at a place I had already been to... yep, it was back to Setia City Convention Centre. Pay toll again.
I left early enough for the place I was headed to; it was when I got there that the traffic outside was FUBAR - there wasn't enough cars leaving to vacate the FREE onsite parking outside the hall, so the incoming cars had to move to the next available car park and there's also cars DOUBLE PARKED ALONG THE ROAD OUTSIDE. WTFBBQ.
Because of the fast turnaround, I found parking quickly and made my way to the designated place.
A scan (or two) several minutes later, I made it into the inner hall at the first stop - checking in: check your appointment correct or not, check temperature, get consent form and queue number (stapled together). Fill out the form twice, tell them you're done, on to the next stop and wait for the medical consultation. After the chit chat (where they ask about any medications you're on, etc), you're ready to join the jab queue (sit and move up a row when the volunteers tell you to) and for any of the cubicles to be vacant.

In case anyone had any doubts/questions... |
The vaccinator seemed nice enough - she went through the whole shebang, but because I just don't like needles, I looked away when it went in, definitely felt the needle that time. Had to scan another QR code when you're in there for the batch number and what not before the needle went in.
Once she taped me up, off I went to another space for the 15 minute post-jab observation. Time to watch QMS board for your queue number (given earlier) to pop up so that you can collect the second copy of your form and also a vaccination card. Got asked if there were any symptoms (not really) and to let me know when the next appointment was.
I give them props for the plush (and not kemek) banquet chairs...
Once you leave, you get a choice of standees to take the post-jab photo for soc med. There was a line at the first one everyone saw cos got someone to help you take the photo LOL. There's other backgrounds, but those you SOOL la if you there alone LOL
It probably took me longer to get parking than it was to get the vaccine itself. Maybe took about an hour tops?
Because I didn't want to waste the toll, I mosey-ed over to Setia City mall (free 3 hours parking on weekdays) to see what I can find for lunch. Resisted the urge to buy up the Indian sweets, baklava and cakes on display at Lulu, which was not easy when you're already peckish.
When I was told some of the side effects were fatigue and soreness, I was like "I'm already sleep-deprived and tired, how will this be any different?"
So yah, there you go, my account of (finally) getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
