Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness

Because of the extended public holiday in most of country, a lot of people got to see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in the middle of week. If you go to any cineplex anywhere this week, I would say at least 70% of it is some Dr Strange screening. Just so happens that Hall 4 in the second home GSC is similar to Hall 5 in that the seats are slightly nicer.
  • I love me some sentient cloak action.
  • Elizabeth Olsen got more to do in this than the rest of her time in the MCU combined. Easily.
  • To the Fantastic Four fans..., it's THAT Baxter Building.
  • A lot of fan service cameos, especially Krasinski as Reed Richards (there's a whole section of the internet that wants both him and actual wife Emily Blunt to be Marvel's First Family). But the FF MCU debut is still a long way to go; we don't know for sure who's been cast just yet.
  • Nice to see Hayley Atwell again?
  • If you enjoyed the hippy dippy tripiness of the first movie, there's more of that in this.
  • To be fair, Wanda fought dirty, dispatching the Illuminati the way she did (too gruesome to want to recall now, but probably why this is considered a horror flick.). But reminiscent of what happened to X-Force in Deadpool 2 LOL
  • I guess with Wong still being Sorceror Supreme leaves Strange with more free time on his hands
  • I know it's a PG-13 movie, but damn, how many parents are regretting bringing their kids to see this cos YIKES I was watching some of it through weaved fingers ah...
  • I thought this movie was gonna have a whole lot more tai-chi hand moves, luckily there's some hand-to-hand combat too.
  • You know I know because it's Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell is gonna be in this one way or the other.
  • I don't think you need to see What If...? to get why Hayley Atwell was Captain Carter in this. But if you want, go ahead.
  • If you're me and not that invested in the Marvel TV stuff, you could just read recaps of WandaVision just to get why Wanda is on a rampage in this.
  • Watching this, I think I can understand why Cumberbatch wants to take an acting break, cos dude's been in every other MCU thing (Avengers, Thor: RagnarokNo Way Home...) since the first Dr Strange now, which came out almost 6 years ago now. And him playing all those other versions of himself from the other universes lagi..
FWIW, I enjoyed it even though it was slightly over 2 hours. Stay for the mid credit scene, don't really bother for the post, post-credit scene if you need to go rush off.
