Dune: Part Two

Caught a morning screening of Dune: Part Two at everyone's favourite sad mall GSC, but couldn't collect points on the GSC app because it crapped out as I got there and it was taking forever to log back in.

If nothing else, it was in one of the bigger spaces, but cos it was early the room wasn't even that full. I got in the seat with minutes to spare before the movie started properly.

  • If not for the facial bone structure (and lips), there's no way you would've known that Austin Butler was in this AT ALL.
  • I'm mostly tickled by Jessica talking to the unborn child and using the child in the third person to talk to people? I was like, err... okay then.
  • If you haven't read the book, there's no way you would've guessed who Anya Taylor-Joy was gonna be in this one... I would think? I mostly didn't understand why her casting in this was so hush-hush.
Held it as long as I could, but I finally had to use the bathroom at some point in the third act.

If you saw the first one, you might as well catch this one. If you can afford the IMAX experience, go for it.
