First movie of 2025!
Nothing caught my eye last month, so...
Didn't even know this movie existed until like Ke Huy Quan did the talk show rounds promoting the heck out of it, and I was like, why not. It's one way to spend the state holiday.
It's an action movie with barely cogent plot holding it all together, and I'm all for it. Fight sequences were okay for the most part.
- Those of you that saw Goonies, Sean Astin is also in this... for less than 20 minutes
- The sight of Daniel Wu drinking bubble tea in this is like... dedication la. Also, either those straws are deceptively strong, or it's like a metal straw or whatever.
- Maybe it's just me, but it feels like it's been an age since I last saw Cam Gigandet in anything... no?
- Final boss fight between the brothers is like... huh. Forgot Daniel Wu can kinda fight lol
