Couple of tries at a Fantastic Four movie franchise later, finally MCU gets their hands on the rights for their own FF movie to work into the MCU with First Steps.
Went to the Pyramid TGV for the convenience? The before 11 a.m. ones were pretty full for my own comfort, so went with a smaller room with a 11.30 a.m. screening. Won a free hot chocolate playing a game in the foyer, so yay. But it meant that I really had to pee after the movie. If nothing else, it was not bad.
If nothing else, I'm glad they skipped the whole origin story and all, and skips forward several years since the incident. They also brought back a classic FF mega villain Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds, etc and his herald, the Silver Surfer. There was also a whole slew of classic FF villains, which I don't wanna get into.
- I get that it's set in a different universe from the main MCU timeline, but I dunno if it's set in like 1960s or something akin to the Jetsons...?
- Laughed like a loon when I saw a glimpse of the 1960s era cartoon that I used to watch as a kid..
- Baby is damn MVP la... also, is that a baby girl?
- It would be mildly amusing if Galactus ended up in Earth-616 pulak...
