In the Grey

This movie (for a Guy Ritchie movie) is sorta unusually undermarketed? I think I vaguely remember some of the cast members doing the usual press rounds awhile ago.

As usual, I got a very last minute ticket to watch this at Starling cos it's the only one around with a morning screening time. In spite of the 10.45 a.m. start, the movie had already started by the time I got there, so I don't know how much exposition I've missed.
A covert team of elite operatives are living in the shadows. When a ruthless despot steals a billion-dollar fortune, they're sent to take it back-an impossible heist that erupts into a deadly game of strategy, deception and survival.
  • Am always tickled to see Fischer Stevens in anything, especially as a sleazy lawyer who keeps losing to Eiza Gonzalez's Rachel in court as she tries to cut off his client's assets to force an in - person meeting.
  • I suppose once you've unveiled all the possible escape routes in the first act, they're all gonna be burnt in the third act.
  • I dunno if Sid and Bronco are gay, or are just that comfortable with each other that the homoeroticism is part of the deal.
It's okay, I don't hate it.

I'm kinda glad that this one is kinda snappy at 97 minutes. It was only half past noon by the time the credits started rolling.
