A Clockwork Orange

After having the book for so long and for a lack of other new books to read, I finally started on Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange. I couldn't get very far because of the liberal amount of Nadsat in the narrative. I had to guess what means what by the context.

Finally had it trying to read it without help and I had to find and print out a
Nadsat dictionary and I had to keep referring to it while reading the book. A bit annoying, I had to admit. My guess is the only people who would have less trouble reading it than yours truly would be Russian speaking individuals.

At the rate I'm going, I might as well just watch the movie, X-rated, dark and potentially psychologically traumatic or not. But I read that it's pretty faithful to the so-called American version of the novel, so what the heck - it's a Kubrick and it's legendary.
