So while I'm currently waiting for a download to finish, I've been catching up on the week's worth of Colbert Report clips.
He and Jon Stewart are nominees in this year's 100 Most Influential People list; an issue I look forward to reading whenever I can get my hands on it. I never knew that these things are public vote. Dang, if I knew I would've done it years ago : P
One of the videos in last Thursday's episode (his Tip of the Hat/Wag of the Finger segment) shows his discontent with K-Pop "sensation" Rain. First thought that came to mind was: how would Colbert know who the guy was? Colbert gave his Wag of the Finger to Time Magazine for letting the guy beat him in the rankings. Like Colbert, I'm also outraged he's only second to Rain on the ranking of Time's 2008 Most Influential People list so far (360,049 to Colbert's 173,770 votes - ouch. Even Jon Stewart's only doing 20,607; fourth behind Barack Obama).
He's also made an appeal to his viewers to keep voting for him here, which is what I'm gonna do if I remember.

So people, please help kick Rain off the top and vote for someone else. Please. The integrity of the magazine DEPENDS on it. If Rain ends up being No. 1 on the 2008 Time 100 Most Influential People, I'm gonna...
a) barf, faint and
b) lose hope in Time magazine
c) might never read it again. Not even back issues.
