Knight Rider remake

The remake of the 1980s show with the Hoff and a certain talking car, the Nought-ies version (Knight Rider 2008) got picked up by NBC for the this fall's lineup, on the assumption that most people would have already seen the 2 hour movie/backdoor pilot back in February, so they skipped the story ahead.

In this updated version of the show, there's a new Rider, new people and of course, a new KITT. But you won't see the Hoff in this one (he made a cameo in the backdoor pilot).

Story is that the new Rider, Mike Traceur, is the estranged son of Michael Knight who takes over his dad's duties and working with his former girlfriend, Sara Graiman and her dad, who supposedly created the original KITT with some secret branch of the government. The younger leads are played by former soap stars Justin Breuning and Deanna Russo (hence why they're so hot).

The new KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand), voiced by Val Kilmer, is pretty souped up from the previous incarnation - this KITT can morph into different vehicles (ala Transformers), is a huge display monitor for intel (can pull up and display stuff on the bonnet), and is waaay cooler than the previous one (cool enough for this day and age, anyway).

So far there's only been two episodes out, but frankly I'm not sure how long this show is going to run before the plug gets pulled. Sure, the car's pretty cool and the leads pretty hot, but I don't know.

(P.S. My bro downloads the show, I just watch for the heck of it).
