Time Warp

From the (basic) cable channel that gave the world Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs and Shark Week, The Discovery Channel gives us the brand new show Time Warp, where a scientist and a guy with a high speed camera slows stuff down. Slowly.

From the Discovery site...
Using the latest in high-speed photography, the Time Warp team takes some natural events (a cat licking its paw, a champagne bottle being opened) — and some not-so-natural (a water balloon to the face, a raw piece of chicken exploding) — and turns them into a thing of both beauty and learning.
The show is shown in 2 half hour episodes on Wednesday nights.

You wouldn't think that a show like would be interesting, but it is. There's stuff you can't see with your naked eye that's been slowed down so we could catch it.

Catch some of the videos up on YouTube, minus the commentary or sound effects. You wouldn't believe it.

Here's the one about how dogs drink..

Everytime I watch the show I can't help but wonder how the pitch meeting must've been. I would love to be the fly on the wall for THAT meeting. Damnit.

It also goes to show that people would watch anything that's on TV.
