I remember hearing about the show not too long ago, then I saw the promos on MTV here saying that they're gonna show Paris Hilton's My New BFF.
I'm not one to remember watching the show when it comes on at night (that, and the pater now hogs the TV most nights), but MTV Asia was nice enough to do a 3 hour marathons during the weekends. Thank goodness for cable - and it beats DOWNLOADING. What a waste of time and effort.
In case the title's not self-explanatory enough, it's about Paris looking for a new BFF (Best Friend Forever) from a cast of 18 people. It started out 18, but 4 people were eliminated before they got to the house. The show is basically like a series of exams set by Ms Hilton to see who could survive her world and her life as a BFF, and to see who can butter her up best. Seriously.
Elimination wise it's not the typical "one a week" formulae that one gets accustomed to as more than one person gets kicked out throughout the run.
I might not be her biggest fan, but I don't say no to bitchy MTV "reality" shows. I know it's totally fake, but I enjoy watching it, it's fun. It's less annoying than the other dumbass show she did with the former BFF Nicole Richie, which I absolutely detest.
What I don't get is why the need for a second season and the other spinoffs. Oh well.
At least it's not another season of The Simple Life.
