Week 17, 2009

1. Saw the infamous Susan Boyle video on YouTube after hearing a whole lot about it just about everywhere - didn't sit through the whole thing, but can't deny that she can sing. Just didn't connect emotionally to the choice of song (I Dreamed a Dream from Les Mis, yes?). Not even gonna put in the link because it's not that hard to find and I'm sure most of the planet has already seen this.
   
   
2. Got the tee shirt (they decided to courier the thing after all). Was right - the tee shirt was too big for me. Gave it to the sibling in the end.
   
   
3. Just got back from the street dinner - here's what I said about it last year - food wasn't that great. No luck with the lucky draw. Some more the last couple of weeks have been pretty warm, so had to take another shower when we got home around 10 something.
   
   
4. Power went out for about 10-15 minutes Monday night, putting a dent into my Bones/TAR watching schedule. Later Jeep got dinged by next door neighbour.
   
   
5. Sent the jeep to the body shop today to get the dent knocked out.
   
   
6. Checked out the OBCZ in 1U Wednesday night. Took 2 books, but will leave some there in the future.
   
   
7. Annoyed that Origins Malaysia is no longer selling the cosmetics, which was sad when I heard the news months ago, but now that I can't get them anymore, pisses me off more. The cosmetics were cheaper than the other department store brands, some more. Sigh.
