PJ Challenge '09 Bloggers "K"arnival

I heard about the PJ Challenge '09 Bloggers "K"arnival from (I think) the KLue blog some weeks ago, which is organised by the MBPJ, Kaspersky Lab and Association of Backpackers Malaysia (there's a typo in the website copy), to celebrate the third year of PJ attaining city status next Saturday at Jaya 33 next Saturday.

Despite my online presence on some of the major social networking sites and blog, I'm a really private person IRL and I don't really like giving out my personal information for nothing significant. I like the idea of the scheduled events that day - workshops for both the novice and the not-so novice bloggers, etc - but paying to join the events (even if the proceeds going to charity and is RM2 per activity signed up for) is... I don't know, unsettling. I'm just one of those people who likes to go on a whim and hates making advanced notice of things that I can't be sure I'll be at.

If they were giving away actual copies of the antivirus on the day, I'd go immediately. If I read the copy right, they're giving away commerorative First Day Covers, so if you're into those... (which I've not been in years; would rather have the software, frankly). But as they are giving it away to bloggers blogging about it (hence this post), so yeah. If you've nothing better to do or if you want to meet Kenny Sia at the Blogging 411 talk (the not-so novice blogging talk), go for it.

PS. Wouldn't park at Jaya 33 if I could help it - there can't be THAT much parking in the place. If you want to be cheap about it, park across and take the bridge over.
