Week 29, 2009

• Bought half priced box of dozen Original Glazed Krispy Kremes on Monday as it was their anniversary.
  
  
• The new Mew album leaked. Of course I downloaded it and have heard it once. Need a few more spins before I could decide if I like it or not. Am also annoyed that they're stopping in Jakarta for a concert next month a week before Keane plays Singapore.
  
  
• Speaking of Keane in Singapore - malas lah want to go down again, since the early bird period is over and now tickets are S$95. At Fort Canning Park.
  
  
• Met up with former coursemates Kenny and Amy - who are engaged, Kenny's a college "junior" from HELP (who's now 30 :P) and Amy's one of our American coursemates that we met in Bemidji - who are back for the summer at The Curve's Laundry Bar (a place I've never been to but always walk past during the day) Friday night. Only had a Casablanca (no-booze, but it's pretty tart with cranberry, lemon, lime and whatever else) and shared desserts between the 9 of us (some crème brulees and a huge slice of NY strawberry cheese cake from Italiannies next door).
  
  
• Re-reading Deathly Hallows - the two-parter movie coming out over the next couple of years might come out looking like the LOTR movies as most of the book is spent "camping out".
  
  
• Checked out the durian fest at the Buddhist Lodge yesterday - what a load of crock. First, you'll be lucky if you can get your hands on some, and not to mention the duds you might end up with instead. Hated that they didn't open up the back gate and we couldn't just WALK there - ended up driving instead and there were plenty of cars already, from Kancils to Beemers. WTF. Total fail for me. My bro's on his own next time.
  
  
• My mum's got a new phone - a newer Motorola razr. With the additional 4GB MicroSD card, she's going nuts with the music on there.
