Week 34, 2009

• Finished two (of many) books that I started months ago: Morgan Spurlock's Where in the World is Osama bin Laden? and Eve Ensler's Insecure at Last: Losing it in Our Security Obssessed World. Got to finish the rest of my TBR pile first.
  
  
• Piece in today's paper (which was absent - don't know what happened to the paper delivery guy; Mum had to buy one herself) that there's the limited edition (150,000 cards) 1Malaysia edition TouchNGo cards selling for only RM10 with RM10 preloaded on it (the RM10 card cost waived) at "select" TnG retail outlets. I'd get one of those since it's RM10, but I won't be the only one with that idea in mind.
  
  
• Had overdue haircut.
  
  
• Bought my second tube of Kiehl's Blemish Control Daily Skin Clearing Treatment as Kiehl's is having this Merdeka promo (RM10 off every RM100 purchase). Only paid RM100 even as the retail price was RM110 (I thought it was RM130? How did that number come up?).
  
  
• Some of the talk shows are on re-runs this week, but the connection's been on and off because of the rain (a relief, but still) so I can't stream the new episodes of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report without it taking twice as long to watch them normally. Urgh.
  
  
• Tried on Gap's 1969 Premium Jeans at the Gap roadshow at 1U Saturday. They were alright, but I didn't feel like paying RM200 for jeans (even with the 15% discount voucher they gave, it's still in the RM200 range - bit rich for my blood.
