Gahmen decided to introduce a RM100, 2 year passport for people "who seldom travel" last week, to roll out next month. It's supposed to have the same safety and tech-y features as the 5 year, RM300 international passport.
I guess it's not that bad an idea if you really, REALLY seldom travel. But imagine renewing the passport every 2 years instead of 5. With the renewal process taking merely hours and not days, it's not THAT painful, but it might be a bitch
But with these coming out next month, I kinda doubt that you can use the KiPPas kiosk just yet (which only does the RM300 transactions).
