Checked out the Mono gig in KLPac for the heck of it. Was rushing a little because Mum didn't cook dinner and was at McDs with the sibling and bought back for the 'rents before driving off.
Had serious case of caffeine OD when a few minutes before reaching Jalan Strachan, I had this very strong urge to use the bathroom. Bad. And that's all I've got to say on the subject.
There was also CDs and other obligatory merchandise. Great, the one group I've no vested interest in and they finally sell merchandise. Fortunately I didn't have enough cash on me to buy anything even if I wanted to.
Just as well, because by the time I got there, the doors just opened and there was a freaking long line waiting to go in. Didn't really rush to go in. One thing I didn't expect when I was in Pentas 2 was the pre-show lucky draw, the prizes are signed CDs, tee shirts, posters and a personal meet and greet with the group. The lucky draw portion was a little too drawn out because the host had to read the ticket numbers 4 -5 times.
Deepset, the opening act was not too bad. Waited at least half an hour in between sets, where the crowd took the chance to smoke (I'm guessing).
Mono's set wasn't too bad - but this is coming from someone who's not heard of them. So I'm not the right person to ask what the set list was.
I also didn't stay the whole show - left around 11 something to beat the jam :P And there's only so much "wall of sound" music that I could take in one night.
