Weekend so far...Pop Chic Street Market

Dropped by the Tongue in Chic's Pop Chic Street Market at Plaza TTDI some point in the afternoon because it's still better to drive there than to travel down to Zouk, where it has been in the past. Filled out a form and got some swag as well as coupons for (I kid you not) massage, astral predictions and manicure (which was in the closed off area accessible by wrist band). Only did the massage and the numerology thing and skipped out on the manicure. There was also a guy doing tarot reading, but I also skipped that.

Some highlights from the numerology session (or else - what I could remember of it), done with my Chinese name and date of birth:
  • Career and relationships are equally divided.
  • I'm not one to marry young, but after the age of 30 - mostly because "yew kao gou". Should've asked what will happen if I was :P
There were others, but it's not worth mentioning here.

Got some Clinique samples in the bag -
  • lipstick samples,
  • a sample tube of City Block Sheer (SPF 25),
  • a voucher for a Personal Makeup Workshop (worth RM100), and
  • a keyfob.
Clinique also had makeshift counters for people to try out their 3-Step skincare and foundation, but I didn't bother.

Stuff on sale was so-so. Saw some interesting stuff, but not interesting enough to crack the wallet open for. (I didn't know local designer Melinda Looi now sells basic pieces like tee shirts, tank tops, etc but cost more because they're made out of organic cotton and has three little Swarovski crystals on it - kid you not). But bought some Lecka Lecka gelato from the stall (RM6 - don't think it's cheap).

Before I left, I noticed the swag was Benefit Cosmetics samples and pretty note books. Oh well.
