Me and a S'more pie

After some dawdling I finally started making the S'more pie from a recipe I found online yesterday.

The best time NOT to make a pie is when it's hot and sunny outside. I switched on the AC to try to regulate the indoor temperature, but then my father decided to crack the windows open. Sigh.

First, the ready pie crust I had crumbled at the base during extraction (due to bad storage than anything else), so I had to McGyver something up to salvage it, which involved the egg I was using as eggwash. And the ants started to notice that there was a pie crust sitting in the pantry cabinet... so yeah.

Recipe called for chocolate ice cream topping to coat the base of the crust, but can't be arsed to get a bottle just for this one time, so I decided on more McGyvering and melted some of the chocolate chips instead. And I got chocolate seizure. Sigh. So I scraped up what I could and barely covered the base.

The filling was basically milk, marshmallows, whipped cream and chocolate, and even then I thought it was plenty chocolatey enough with what's left of the chocolate chips. The pie is so rich the average slice would've been too much.

It might look like crap, but it's edible.
