Week 26, 2010

  • More free labour for Dad. Not sure how to go about seeking some financial supplement without having the tables turned on me and being charged rent. Sigh.
  • Sold the wallet I got at Urbanscapes in the "lucky" draw to a guy that works for the postal service. He even asked me why I didn't want it. I swear, only Malay dudes with bikes would like these kinda things. Sheesh.
  • Bought macaroons at Whisk in Empire Shopping Gallery (RM2 each, RM18 for 10) - Taste was so subtle it was negligible (really) and they were only slightly bigger than 50-cent coins, bite-sized really. Sheesh. The only flavour I like was the chocolate. Lychee and rose were almost the same shade of pink and I couldn't differentiate by taste.
  • Bought ingredients to make a S'more pie (already had the pie crust, marshmallows and chocolate lying around), except for the chocolate ice cream topping which I'm NOT gonna get. WHEN I'm gonna make it is another issue, haha.
  • Catching up on another Bravo reality competition - Work of Art: The Next Great Artist
  • Got my $10 gift certificate from Better World Books and picked out a book - Bill Buford's Heat: An Amateur's Adventures as Kitchen Slave, Line Cook, Pasta-Maker, and Apprentice to a Dante-Quoting Butcher in Tuscany - which is not a new book, but the total came under $10, haha... Wanted to get a different book, but I didn't feel like paying extra.
