To celebrate the first day of the Mega Sale, I headed to my second home 1U yesterday to wild release the bag of books I had that are not in the best condition but otherwise readable at the OBCZ in the new wing. They're so blatantly labelled as such, I don't think anyone can miss them.
First good sign was that I got a great parking spot within a minute and near an entry point - always a good thing.
Stumbled upon the Paris Miki (optical shop) roadshow and after weeks of scouring the Interwebs, picked out a pair of polarised Ray-ban sunglasses that weren't Wayfarers or aviators (which I didn't want for myself), the lens colour and shape that I'm okay with and also under RM200 as it was on a section of the booth where you can get sunglasses at three different prices (I don't remember now). Embarrassingly enough I didn't have enough cash to pay for it so I was glad that I could put down a deposit first. I guess the only reason why it was on clearance (basically) was because the model was several years old. I hope (that it's not a fake or what). Long story short, I got them in the end.
Also checked out Himalaya anniversary celebration event (Passport to Wellness) also in the new wing - where you basically get a "passport", collect some stamps for some skincare samples (Protein Shampoo with Conditioner, a Walnut Scrub and a Purifying Mud Pack). I know, I'm such a hoarder of these things.
There was also a health check thing happening on site by Masterskill students, I also found out my blood type after all these years - I probably would've known sooner if I had donated blood before, but oh well - according to the nursing student that did the testing, I'm a O+.
