The 'rents wanted to go to Klang to check out some wholesale mall, but then my Dad found out that the
MV Logos Hope (the floating bookstore after the Doulos) was docked at West Port until the 23rd and decided to make a stop. I was the only one that went on board; they were waiting for me at the canteen outside the building.
I remember going to see its predecessor, the
MV Doulos, YEARS ago when I was in primary school or something like that. But at least I remembered going; the old man (my father) doesn't remember a
thing.
There were a lot of cars going in (weekend parking inside was like RM3 :P) and a lot more people waiting in line to buy tickets and to board the ship. If I had to think about how long I spent waiting in line just to GET ON that boat, it would just piss me off. But let's just say it was pretty long, even though I was alone and I squeezed ahead. Imagine if I didn't; I think would still be there now. I think everyone brought not just their own immediate families, but also the extended ones, and the entire kampung :P
Took me longer in line than the time I spent on the
Logos Hope itself. Well, if I had actually bought a book or sat down to watch the videos, then maybe. But I didn't want to keep the 'rents waiting any longer. I ended up buying a couple of items from the dollar (RM1) table, but that was about it. There was also a line to BUY the books on board, so I didn't. Hah.
Book selection was okay, but I didn't take a really good look at what was available anyway.
Didn't know we were going, or else I would've brought a camera. Oh well. Pictures after the jump!

Coming here on a Sunday = BAD IDEA especially with small children; avoid if possible, take the day off work if you have to. There were no cars by the time we came out. WTF.
It's closed Mondays, but it's open from 10 am - 10 pm Tuesdays to Saturdays and from 1 pm - 10 pm on Sundays. Admission is RM1 per adult; kids go in free, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
Here's the BFM podcast where three of the ship's volunteers were interviewed, which you have to take a listen.
