Against my better judgment, I drove to Setia City Mall in Setia Alam with only a faintest idea of where it was with no GPS device handy. There weren't a lot of signage along the NKVE before the Setia Alam toll plaza. So I ended up on what I would call a very scenic route before I found it in the end.
It was like half occupied and there was still renovations going on in different lots throughout, so it was still a little dusty. The tenant list is not too shabby for a mall that's a little in the middle of nowhere (ish), but if you're from PJ, it's just average.
I checked out Uniqlo and Parkson's opening specials, and I came away with a pair of FitFlops from Parkson - got the 5x Bonuslink points, express manicure, thumbdrive and I can't remember what else. I also got a goodie bag during a Q&A session. With that same receipt I also got my hat in the mall's lucky draw, which one doesn't get to do with department store/anchor tenant receipts. It was a productive trip, to say the least.
The air conditioning at the mall itself wasn't working that great so it was a little warm and everyone was sweating. People working there were giving out bottled water and right before I left, they had declared parking to be free over the public address system (which I barely heard and had to clarify at the concierge desk). I wasn't sure if it had anything to do with the air conditioning specifically, but I'm not about to complain - at least I didn't have to trek back to Parkson to validate parking. I tore up the parking ticket when I got home.
If only the cheapskates that parked outside knew parking was free... :P

Wouldn't really bother going otherwise, but that's just me.
