Haven't been back there for over a year and I'm a little thrown off by SMRT - there are now new lines and stations that didn't exist the last time I was there. Trying to remember which mall was at which MRT station got a little overwhelming. Getting around was a huge blur to me and I didn't travel alone this time. Didn't get to cover more of Orchard as I would've liked. But at least I can check the Potter and Warhol exhibits off the list now.
H&M was meh, but mostly because I can wait until the one in KL opens.
Almost didn't find the Abercrombie & Fitch store because the sign was so badly lit outside. Inside was about as bad - it was dimly lit and it was inviting accidents to happen. Don't get me started on the smell: the smell of the cologne was everywhere. Was lucky that it did not trigger any headaches. Found the recently opened Dean & Deluca at Ochard Central, but was just there to see what the fuss was about - overpriced herbs and spices, basically. Can't be arsed to shop for clothes, but I bought three mugs and some other stuff.
Also got a signed copy of Return to a Sexy Island by Neil Humphreys. Stumbled into one of his book signings at Marina Square (which I didn't think I could catch) and as I've no idea whether he'll make a stop in KL, I ponied up the money and bought it (after using my Malaysian Times Bookstore card for the 10% discount). I also came away with a signed poster, which will be in a poster tube somewhere.

In terms of the food, I managed to squeeze in the Ben & Jerry's (scoop shop, duh), KFC Double Down burger, Quiznos... also managed to go to the "destination" Starbucks store in Rochester Park and a meal on Dempsey Hill.
At least I have the next trip to cover more ground... I think.
