Week 52, 2017/Week 1, 2018

Another 4 day work week. Had enough and took a last minute half day off on Friday. Spent most of the long weekend checking out the post-Christmas sales and dodging the crowds.

Next week school starts again. Oy vey.

• Redeemed free oysters at Shucked (three of the cheapest kind on the menu, so don't get the hopes up). The catch is you have to sign up to their newsletter and to receive the email from them about it. 
• Laura Mercier in Malaysia has a change in management starting in the new year, so the various standalone outlets have been having a "moving out" sale for the last month or so. It's reached the point where the holiday gift sets are also on sale now since Christmas has come and gone. So I finally got the powder gift set at a 30% discount that I wouldn't have paid full price for before Christmas. 👻
