I thought the premise was pretty interesting, but I wasn't sure I wanted to pay to watch it. So I waited a couple of weeks for this movie to be on that list for people redeeming their birthday movie tickets. Also, this was the last chance I have of catching it at a decent time before it goes to afternoon showings next week on.
Parking to go to Starling's MBO wasn't too bad - just drive straight up to the 4th floor parking and it was just another escalator ride up to the cineplex. I hadn't redeemed birthday tickets from MBO before, so I didn't know I needed the PIN to redeem. Took a few minutes longer than necessary to get the reminder email. To kinda make up for the free ticket, I got a popcorn set... which I promptly spilled about 10% of in between the seats. Whoopsie. (In my defense, it was a lot more popcorn than I'm used to). It was then I noticed that the floor under the seats were tiled, not carpeted. Very shrewd of them.
- I like the quick throwaway line that explains why Liam Neeson still has his Irish accent in this movie.
- All the other cast members (Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and Sam Neill) was in the movie for like, 5 minutes each on screen. Oh, and also not forgetting Elizabeth McGovern.
- Ok, never mind - Patrick Wilson was in the movie for longer than that, cos of the last fight scene.
- There weren't that many obvious breadcrumbs to the crux of the mystery.
