Wedding lunch at Cititel Midvalley

In all the years Midvalley has been around, I have not been to the adjoining hotel until today. I also kinda forgot that it's there...? Anyway, because it's still Midvalley on a Sunday, I left a little early because, parking. In case anyone cares, one can park in either the hotel's parking or (only) Midvalley's parking for RM5 flat rate, but the ticket had to be double endorsed - upstairs outside your event, and also downstairs by the lobby.

The bride was someone from college whom I've not seen for years, who's now married to a white guy and has been living in Madrid for some years now.

I figured it had to be a small wedding because the bride had time to copy and paste messages and reminders to everyone personally on FB. But less than 10 tables? Oh kay. I got assigned to a table with other people I didn't already know, so it was just as well that I got seated with another batchmate, so I can't complain that much. But it was probably a bit rude for everyone else since we were both chatting/catching up in Mandarin to each other most of the time.

In case anyone's wondering: it was a buffet lunch, so there was a bit of everything. Boleh makan lah

It was pretty drawn out (for wedding) - from 12.30 to 7 p.m.. There was dancing (A LOT OF DANCING; I'm not into dancing - Chinese people don't dance, mmkay), but no karaoke. Some people bailed pretty early, but for the rest of us that were left, we almost pretty much stayed to the bitter end just chatting and catching up. That's all weddings are for these days if you're of a certain age, and also perhaps the only reason I bother going to weddings these days.

I've never been so exhausted from attending a wedding before. But it could also be a lot of other things as well.
