Week 6, 2019

With CNY being on Tuesday and Wednesday, it might as well be called the great national shutdown cos everyone (not just Chinese people) have been steadily leaving town since last weekend to make it back for reunion dinner on Monday or go on holiday, etc. Some private businesses are also closed the whole week, which made street parking a breeze if you're already back at work on Thursday and Friday or needed to do errands.
  • Did anyone ask for a Party of Five reboot? Apparently the premise this time round is that the parents got deported, leaving the kids to fend for themselves.
  • Finally won a couple games of HQ Words (finally out of beta on Android) this week.
  • Went to check out the moving out sales happening at Muji in Avenue K and also Parkson in KLCC this past week. It was like a freaking night market in the latter.
  • Dear Jeff Bezos, no one wants to see your dick pics. Sekian, terima kasih.
  • Got tickets to see Norm & Ahmed at KLPAC next week and Gold Rain & Hailstones at DPAC next month.
  • Apparently the SAYS video about begpacking made it to BBC.
  • Also, the Tealive in The Gardens is now a proper sit down cafe (of sorts) and they also sell cakes (by the slice). Some other outlets already sell savoury fried snacks, so this was a first for me.
  • It was a matter of time before someone came up with char kuey teow drizzled with cheese sauce on top.
