Weather update: Not as hazy this week due to rain (cloud seeded maybe?), but it's still there.
It's that time of year again: the start of American TV season. A lot of new and also returning shows are slowing starting again this week.
- After getting complaints from just about everyone, banks are now pressured to drop their 50-cent cash and cheque deposit machine and OTC charges (RM2)/nuisance charge. I don't know what took the CAP (Consumer Association of Penang) so long to finally lodge a complaint with Bank Negara. Also, I don't know how people didn't already know about this charge as certain banks have started charging these fees for a few months now. I wonder how soon though, cos my dad's got a HP loan payment due next week with Public Bank and need to know whether need to add the 50 cents or not...
- I have a trip to Singapore booked next month, but the show (Daniel Sloss's only SEA stop) I wanted to watch already (unexpectedly, I might add) sold out before I could get a ticket. Bummer. Maybe I'll finally be able to kill some time window shopping at Don Don?
- This year's Healthland's MyCyberSale package (14 hour package for over RM600 after taxes) is too expensive for my wallet. Guess I'll have to pass.
- The RB warehouse sale in Evolve Concept Mall was underwhelming, to say the least. But didn't come away empty handed.
- Scoot finally dethroned AirAsia as SEA's best low cost carrier. About time. I would like Scoot more if they don't charge the stupid card processing fee.
- As if South East Asians not fat enough, the McD in the Philippines is selling bubble tea. Kinda envious, to be honest.
- Astro now allowing access to all channels to subscribers until 13th October. Go nuts.
