All good things must come to an end - the 4 comedians for the price of 1 era has come to an end. I suppose if the Blue Collar Comedy guys had to call it quits and go their seperate ways, lives and careers, why not these guys.
Over the years, I've mostly (I think) attended opening night. But not this time, because they tacked on a Thursday night show due to overwhelming demand. They broke my opening night streak. Oh wells.
When I got there just before 8 p.m., I was guided (by the RELA guys) and ended up parking here...which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I bypassed the post-show congestion on the main road (Jalan Sentul) outside the venue after the show and made it home pretty quickly, even after stopping for petrol for the car and a coney dog for myself at FamilyMart.
The seats for the premium and VIP sections were flashy AF, but not too comfy towards the end. For being seated in the aisle, I was kinda glad my view was mostly unobstructed cos a tinier lady was seated there.

Had to park HERE. Lucky tak kena saman or tow. |
F&B options: I only had time to get a gelato (RM5 with TnG app) and collect the ticket. Tony Eusoff's co-owned hot dog stand had consistently long lines, even during intermission. Brought my own water because. Also, I'm not a fan of Apple Fox cider. The snack combos were pretty inexpensive, all things considered.
Jason: When he started his set about how his wife had a tumour nine months ago, I could smell the punchline coming, but that's just because if you follow him on soc med, you would already know..? His set was about being a new dad and what he wants to impart to his daughter. The buildup to her "Chindian destiny" was stupid hilarious. After years of hearing him go on about how he didn't want kids because of how expensive they are, it was a bit the rich lah. And the ridiculousness of gender reveal parties.
Chi Ho: Talked about his "stupid kid" (at least he didn't say which one)... which I guess is a case of nature vs nuture.
Jenhan: About growing up (as the youngest and also the only singleton of the bunch) and spending his 20s with MACC.
Then they had a 20 minute intermission, which was kinda unprecendented. But I took this time and practically flew to the ladies before the line started to build up. Stretched my legs by walking around a little more afters before going back to my seat because lining up for anything after the bathroom was pointless.
Then of course Douglas had to have the grandest entrance ever, which you have to see to believe. It was bananas.
In his set, he went personal - he explained why this was their last rodeo as a group, but it basically boiled down to (his) health reasons (his balls don't work). He also sprinkled in some political humour. He also humblebragged about how rich he is, so... (I guess being childfree has its perks?)
Did he sing? You can bet your ass he did. You can guess which Green Day song he used.
NB.

- Didn't know there was a Pentecostal church in KL...? Which I only found out cos I was parked across the road from one.
- The ladies bathroom at HGH was actually pretty canggih: they have the occupancy lights much like at certain parking lots. And they had more than a dozen stalls, which is always a plus. I never knew until then cos I don't recall ever having to use them. Or they redid the bathrooms recently and I didn't know.
- Jason and Jenhan's company Two Funny Productions produced the show. It's an apt name, I say. They say friends should never go into business together, so... best of luck to them.
- If you thought them hard selling their posters in past years was cray, you should hear them try to sell their latest line of merch - tour tee shirts, tote bags, badges, etc. Got RM5 rebate if you use TouchNGo app. Didn't buy because I don't collect totes and pin badges and the tee shirt design wasn't that appealing to me. But if you want to buy, you should.
