Week 46, 2019

  • E! announced a new reboot of The Soup with a new lady host for next year. Can't wait.
  • I don't know how they're gonna tell who's Malaysian or not when they charge RM1 per ride on SmartSelangor buses for non-Malaysians... which in this case is usually the poor FTs just trying to eke out a living. I mean, you don't see angmo tourists on the routes those buses ply..
  • A-ha concert in Singapore next year. Great, another Asian cash grab by bands past their prime.
  • Pos Malaysia put out Batman stamps set this week.
  • Nando's giving away 1,000 chickens when you watch a video they put out (with an embedded redemption code) and filling out a Google Doc form. I tried my luck, but I don't know if I'll get one.
  • They finally opened the long awaited pedestrian bridge between Abdullah Hukum LRT station and Gardens Mall (via Eco City mall) which, based on the posted videos online, seems like a long ass walk. Which is fine if for work commutes or are gonna be in Midvalley longer than you're willing to pay parking for.
  • Big Bad Wolf Books also announced the dates for this year's sale this week. I hope to get a preview pass soon, if only not to deal with the crowd too much. (Despite what anyone thinks, preview day also crowded one)
  • Attended bro's friend's wedding dinner on Wednesday night... who turns out to be my pri sch classmate's cousin. Small world.
  • Caught MACC's last show together on Friday night.
  • It was just announced that the next season of Top Chef is gonna be an All-Stars one. They have enough past contestants for that.
  • Apparently AirAsia had a promo where they were selling limited tickets to Madrid for RM99... which either sold out quickly or they did a bait and switch at checkout.
  • Finas (Malaysia National Film Development Corporation) is calling for censored Netflix content. Finas should go fuck themselves.
