Second movie of year, also second movie this week - 21 Bridges
I've seen that one trailer of this movie in the cinema so many times last year and it's finally in Malaysian cinemas. Not on as many screens as say, Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, but yeah. Paid RM7.50 (before the 50-cent booking fee) to watch 21 Bridges in Jaya on a Saturday night because the other screening times in other cineplexes were shit (Also not playing for as many days, it seems like?). I think everyone else watching the movie with me (it was probably half full?) also came to the same conclusion.
- At least Chadwick Boseman doesn't have to speak in a made up country's accent?
- I know it's just a movie, but how much clout would someone have to shut down Manhattan just to contain 2 guys who shot up 8 cops IRL?
- There's an awful lot of double taps to the head in this movie. Don't get me started on the guy who got shot in the eyeball at one point.
- Don't think it's a coincidence that everyone except Chadwick's character so trigger happy one - all also shoot first one.
- The time stamps were kind of useful for the audience to keep track of the investigation.
- Cop also so bodoh one - all use the same bad guys to do their dirty work. But you know only the dirty cops are one step ahead of the good guy and covering their tracks up along the way.
- Yeah, you can't have JK Simmons in this and not play the bad guy?
- I'm sure his first thought after shooting down several cops in this movie, one of the thoughts was "Aw shit, that's another conversation with IA".
It's not bad, but unless you pirate, it's gonna be hard for people to find the right time and place to legally watch this in a cineplex.
