Week 33, 2020

  • They're lowering the price of disposable masks to RM1 a piece; which is still kinda expensive for something you're supposed to dispose after a few hours of use.
  • They've announced the winners of the Nestle Gaji Seumur Hidup contest, and sadly I'm not one of them. Does this mean that they have to declare this on their income tax?
  • Got my Starbucks gift card from Sony this week.
  • Speaking of Starbucks, my 11th drink reward expired cos I forgot to redeem it. Cis.
  • A lot of food abominations this week: carbonara made with instant teh tarik, Indomie ice cream... there's too many to list.
  • Went to Kuala Kubu Bahru for a work errand this week; only hit the bakeries before driving back... which took longer than the drive there. WTF.
  • Finally tried out the local comedy club's Zoom shows: one was their (free) open mic night on Wednesday and the weekend show featuring the younger local comedians, some of whom I've not seen before. The Zoom room chat was kinda interesting, cos I rather interact with fellow audience members and not be accused of heckling of whoever's on stage, cos it's not like they can see the Zoom chat room?

The Zoom option is great for serious introverts like me who hates engaging with crowd work.
  • Number of people out of Conde Nast Entertainment (CNE) as of this week: Six. Apparently the videos will start up again in September? I really hope that the people who still have their regular jobs at BA won't get dragged into the videos in the future.
