Took a self-declared 4 day weekend (cos Thursday was Awal Muharram/Islamic new year) because I could and really, cos I just don't want to go to work for a couple days. This long weekend also coincided with some pandemic-era midterm school holidays cos the school year is messed up now.
- Took Tealive long enough to finally sell their reusable (only up to a point, I think?), strawless bubble tea cups with a container inside for the topping so they don't sink to the bottom. The fact that it also comes with a RM10 voucher also serves as an incentive, I would think. But it's still a lot of pre-planning for something supposedly as spontaneous as bubble tea. It's also so blatantly Tealive-branded it's hard to bring it to other joints (that was the intent, I get it) to really reuse.
- Tealive also put out milk tea flavoured moon cakes this year, haha.
- I'm kinda mad that it took so long for a ez-link/TnG duo card to be finally available? But I dunno how they're resolving the validity issue...
- RIP, Cheers (bar).
- Microsoft is finally pulling the plug on IE. If that's the case, then some gahmen websites are gonna be in deep doo doo.
- Have to love how the folks that make Hungry Ghost festival flammable paraphernalia are always on the pulse by producing the year's "hot" (haha) items. This year it's protective masks. Which begs the question: afterlife pun ada COVID ah?
- I'm kinda sad that Patriot Act has gotten canned.
- After declaring for all and sundry that he's not gonna be Batman any more, Ben Affleck is reprising the role (again) in the Flash movie. Erm, ok, sure.
- Estee Lauder announced a new formulation for ANR (Advanced Night Repair) recently and have been doing a marketing blitz about it. Collected samples of said product at a couple places this week, but let's be honest, ANR wasn't cheap before, and it's not gonna be now. On the plus side, if you've been using the old formula, those are on offer now?
