Week 36, 2020

All it took was one asshole company polluting a river to cripple most of the Klang Valley's water supply, which is kind of messed up. Taps in the house officially dried up on late Friday night (?), which was kind of annoying compared to the low-pressure dribble the day before. A lot of eateries are also closed because they can't do it without water supply, or the ones open are using single use utensils for their dine-in customers. This water supply disruption is all anyone wants to talk or post about online, myself included.

I wonder how many people are using this water cut to cross state lines just so they could shower...? (I don't know about bringing your dirty laundry across state lines, but won't put it past some people)

Water came back Saturday evening, yay(?), so it was sooner than Air Selangor's prediction of when supply will be restored (Monday or later). Cannot complain lah, all things considered.

  • Took McDonald's long enough to get on the brown sugar boba train for the McCafe drinks.
  • Checked out the Milo 70th year in Malaysia ground event in Pyramid on Saturday. Was it worth the RM4 in weekend parking? Ok lah, I guess. (Can't be arsed to cheap out on parking since wasn't planning on being there that long). At least the mall still has running water, and I could also have lunch before I left.
  • Kinda sad that the previous non-halal banana leaf rice place in Megah has shut down (there's now a new banana leaf rice place in its stead, but no pork I think)
  • Took AirAsia long enough to start charging counter check-in fees (surprised they haven't done it years sooner). It's more a nuisance fee, but props to them.
