Week 39, 2020

I dunno if it's me, or has the monsoon season gotten a headstart already? 

• So the gahmen announced a new round of bribery financial aid this week. When the PM's address for this was announced, I thought that it was gonna be another MCO, so... yeah. 
• Apparently the victim of the SS2 incident where a piece of tower crane (that fell off the transport trailer it was on) hitting her car was a schoolmate's baby sister. There's also other incidents of things falling unto passing cars from overhead construction sites. I've always been paranoid about driving underneath these construction sites before, but NOW...
• No MCU movies this year: Phase 4 is being pushed to next year, Black Widow included (which is now delayed to next May). 
• Death on the Nile is being pushed to December?
• I guess if nothing else, WW84 is still gonna happen this year? But I'm not holding my breath.
• Because Hank Azaria is no longer voicing the non-white characters on The Simpsons, they've finally found someone to voice Carl. Still no word on Apu. 
• Same goes for Family Guy. 
• Thom Yorke finally put a ring on it?
• Some genius in Vietnam thought it was a good business idea to wash, reshape and repackage used condoms for (re)sale. Talk about zero waste, but eww... props for the reshaping, though. I don't even want to know where they were collecting the used prophylactics lah. 
• So a bougie gym and Pyramid had to put out soc med posts saying that they've had someone who tested positive for COVID on their premises this past week. 
• Sabah had an election this weekend. The new old (or old new?) gahmen won. 
• First time winning a seller's giveaway on Shopee, go figure LOL (it was a sampler bottle of Dr Bronner's liquid castile soap)
• Both Amber Ruffin (writer on Late Night with Seth Meyers) and Larry Wilmore launched their Peacock (NBC's streaming service) talk shows this week. For a while I thought she was gonna leave Late Night to do it, until it was revealed that it was gonna be on the one night a week that Seth isn't doing his show cos her show is in his studio. Talk about maximising use of Studio 8G. Also, how long does it take for them to change out the sets?
