Folks, it finally happened: I tested positive on a COVID self test kit. All those insomniac nights (I keep waking up around 3 or 4 a.m., found it hard to go back to sleep) finally caught up to me. In fairness, the sibling tested positive before me and before anyone realised, my mother also tested positive the same day I did. Of course my well-rested elderly father was unscathed and at least got a place he can isolate at (a luxury a lot of people don't have) while the rest of us were in isolation.
So far it feels like a run of the mill URTI (sore throat, nasal drip) for me, siap with the annoying AF post nasal drip. It's also annoying that I can't seem to find paracetamol and throat lozenges right before this happened due to other people's panic buying and hoarding (?), so I'm only taking those as sparingly as possible. I'm glad I got an extra bottle of steroidal nasal spray, but ya...
Now just got to sit tight and wait out the isolation period.
