Week 28, 2023

This season of MasterChef Australia finally ends tonight. Even before I spoiled it for myself by being on soc med before I could watch it for myself, I guessed the winner correctly (50-50 chance mah LOL) and it was kind of a foregone conclusion based on the edit they got all season long. But the editing for the finale was pretty good in that it kept people guessing towards the end (if they announced your scores first; you definitely not winning already). 

I honestly dunno who the producers are gonna get for the head judge role next season. Jock was first on that show through the Beat the Chef challenge years ago; if going by that, it could very well be someone in that pool. I wouldn't have the foggiest idea of who would be on that short list. But I don't think it can be....can also be lady mah, no? 

1. Andy Allen - doesn't really have the gravitas, even though he's won his season, but no, just no.
2. Shannon Bennet - Unless he's got the time..., as mentor he's okay lah. But no. 

• The SAG-AFTRA has joined the WGA in striking as their own strike started over the weekend. 
• The Blacklist has ended it's 10 year run this week. Not sure if I want to watch the finale or not.
• Had no idea the AEON in Pyramid was closing until it was announced on soc med. Just as well, I guess. Sad but not sorry. 
• Got the office laptop back with a new motherboard. So far 'sok?
• Saw Jason Leong's latest show he's been touring for months now, Brain Drain on Friday night in Sentul. As eager as he is to leave Mesia for Singapore (for the kid's sake, konon), I dunno if Singapore wants him, though...? 
• Tried the Wingstreet wings (the wing wing of Pizza Hut) for dinner one night to use up the RM15 voucher. Might've gotten some extra wings or something, but I definitely knew I didn't order a pizza, which we got but didn't want to complain. (They were already at least half hour past the promised delivery time despite me preordering on the app)
• They announced the new Top Chef host - former winner Kristen Kish. Not a bad choice.
• Anyone doing the Barbenheimer (watching both Barbie and Oppenheimer back to back)?
