If you need a reason to mask up and keep the air purifier going, our old friend the HAZE is back. Can't just wear regular (or colourful) surgical mask and call it a day, you gotta step it up to at least a KN94/95 or whatever. I can feel it in my sinuses, based on the headaches I've been getting. Also, the weather this week is what I would call multiple shower weather.
Thursday being a public holiday, I used the extra day to catch a movie out on release day... no, not the Paw Patrol movie, but...
- Saw The Creator. Also checked out a different GSC location cos, free parking.
- After 5 months, the writers' strike is over but the actors' strike is still on going. On the plus side, late night is starting back up again, so yay me.
- RIP Sir Michael Gambon. Most people my generation (and younger) probably only knew him best as the second Dumbledore in the Potter movies.
- Also, RIP David McCallum. Depending on how old you are, you either knew him as Kuryakin from The Man from U.N.C.L.E, or as Ducky on NCIS, who's he's played longer than the former, albeit regularly for about 15 of the 20 seasons NCIS has been on (he's still in the NCIS opening credits despite only showing his face a few times over the last few seasons, I'm guessing due to the advanced age).
- If you still have a copy of Boey's When I Was a Kid 3, congrats on owning a banned book, or even good luck finding the rest of the series now cos apparently those are also taken off shelves? It's apparently banned because some Indonesians took umbrage with one of his stories in that particular volume. Are the books even sold in Indonesia? How they know it was in there?
- Caught a comedy panel show on Saturday at an event space that is now a church, which is also rents out the space for other things.
