Was only at work ONE day this whole week (which I've not done before, to my recollection); with Thursday being a holiday (Thaipusam), I figured I might as well take the rest of the week off. And hoo boy, it was a heck of a week, because...
Tuesday: Travelled down south to Singapore to watch the first of Coldplay's multiple night run down there, last concert as a thirty-something person.
Wednesday: Free day before flying back at night. Didn't even make it to Orchard Rd this time.
Thursday (Thaipusam): Used the old man's vouchers to spend the night at a hotel downtown, invite friend for free buffet lunch, killed some time at TRX, spent the rest of the night kinda hanging out in said room.
Friday (actual day): Kind of a downer after all that, cos was spent most of the afternoon unpacking and doing laundry. This was the most use I got out of the Samsonite luggage I bought a number of years ago.
In other news...
- Can't say I'm surprised that the MPH in Midvalley is closing and is having clearance sale until the end of the month. Back in the day it was pretty impressive, now it's just sad. But it could be that they're just gearing up for the new store opening in TRX. Swung by the so-called clearance sale at Midvalley on Sunday and it was kinda sad and I walked out empty handed. (I was already in the area for something else, I didn't purposefully go there; I totally forgot until I heard some kids talk about going there)
- What I was more surprised by is that they're gonna make the sequel to that Ben Affleck movie I ever enjoyed - The Accountant.
- Got to try both Eggslut and Tim Horton's while I was down south.
