The Dongle of Donald Trefusis

Heard the first two episodes of Stephen Fry's new audio series, The Dongle of Donald Trefusis (which is available on iTunes for a price; if you must ask how I got my hands on it as Malaysia doesn't have an iTunes music store, well...there was this torrent file, you see...) recently. Donald Trefusis is a character of his that he made up from back in the day, which is all I'm going to say on the matter as I don't want to bore the crap out of everyone. (Read Paperweight)

The gist so far is that Donald Trefusis has died of old age (at age 89) and "left" Stephen (among other things) a thumb drive (or "dongle", in this instance) of essays that he wants the latter to "disseminate" in this age of new media.

I was laughing my head off at the frequent utterances of Hodgman, Hodgman, Hodgman, Hodgman and Hodgman, the law firm in charge of the late professor's estate in Episode 1.

By the end of Episode 2, listeners would know that the series is a "quest" of sorts and that the late Trefusis has a Twitter account (which has been suspended atm as they thought it might be a spam account). From the grave.

Even if you don't know the Trefusis character, but as a fan of Fry, I'll give this one a whirl.

New episodes will be up every forthnight.
