Two national public holidays this week on Tuesday and Thursday (Deepavali and Awal Muharram, respectively). What did I do? Here goes...
Deepavali (Tuesday)
- Midvalley/Gardens - haven't been back since... Malaysia Day :P I know, I usually go to that neck of the woods on the odd public holiday. State holiday would be a huge pain in the backside.
- The ladies only parking section in P2, Zone B - really handy. Also, only less than 20 empty lots when I got there around 11 something in the a.m..
- Got my hair trimmed at Carrefour really cheaply (yes, I am cheap, shut up)
- Got a free Deepavali frappucino from the Starbucks inside Borders. Not crazy enough to go to the other ones nearby.
- Neighbour's annual Deepavali do. Went later than usual cos I was rushing back from KL...
- Rained most of the day.
- Delayed my jaunt downtown just because the local Domino's had this RM0.10 regular pizza thing happening at noon. Left home around 11 something (needed to go to the bank anyway) and after collecting the queue numbers, was there about an hour before we finally left with the bounty. I opted to pay extra for the Extreme Edge crust.
- Finally got to try both lines of the free bus service (GO KL) - From Pasar Seni LRT station (learnt the hard way that it wasn't the bus stop outside Central Market, but rather the one right outside, the side of) to (the back of) Pavilion, and from there to KLCC on another line. Luckily for me the onboard Wi-Fi was working so I was racking up Foursquare checkins as I was travelling along, haha.
- I also finally got to check out the H&M store at Lot 10. Nope, didn't buy anything either.
- But I did finally get the bag I wanted at the Oroton store in Pavilion for 40% off its retail price. They were nice enough to arrange delivery to the second home store so that I could go pick it up from there instead of me lugging it home on public transport :P
