Week 17, 2013

One more week before polling day. Tired of the unsolicited texts (and mailers) from both sides. Luckily it's only a few weeks of campaigning to put up with unlike in America, where it seem to go on for years, or as soon after inauguration. If you're a registered voter, do what you can to go back (if you're not home) and vote. If you didn't register to vote, I don't need to hear you complain about the country until you actually do it. Kthnxbai.

Now for the more mo liew stuff...
  • Starbucks half priced frapp promo is back: Every Tuesday and Friday from 5 - 7 p.m. until the end of next month. Time to go on frapp overload... not :P
  • Rained just about every evening this week, exacerbating traffic (especially for the politicians in getting to their rallies).
  • Spotify is now available in Malaysia. Call me old, but I don't really get why I need to get on the bandwagon.
  • Paul Ogata at PJ Live Arts.
  • Saw two of the three Bane instalments in one day.
  • If you've finished paying for your car and need to get that line saying the bank owns it off the pink registration card, here's what you need: the letter from the bank saying the transaction has concluded, and said pink card and get yourself to the nearest JPJ office. Took me longer to get there than to get the deed done, and the guy at the counter didn't ask to see the bank's letter (but it was visible in the folder I was carrying everything in). In the PJ office (anyway), you get directed to Counter 9, tell the guy what you need, he checks on his computer and has 3 different stamps (date, the huge BATAL chop, and location) on that spot on the card and off you go.
  • Went to my first political rally this week - it's too near the house NOT to go. And I had to accompany my mother who wanted to go. Because of the traffic, we still parked some distance away and walked to the event. We were there about an hour (third speaker in) before it started to rain, so we left before it started to rain heavily (which didn't).
