Week 29, 2020

Have been on medical leave this week, which is the longest sort of MC where I'm not totally in pain, not infectious to others and could kinda move around in this many years. Of course I'm trying to take it easy as well, but still. Showering with a plastic bag tied around the foot doesn't really help. I've ordered foot-sized cast protectors online (dunno why they're not available everywhere but the hospital gift shop), but I don't know if I'll still need it by the time any of them arrive.

Toe-sitch: Some inflammation when the gigantor bandage was removed ("angry-looking" was how the doctor put it, though I might be paraphrasing) on Tuesday, so was prescribed stronger antibiotics and more NSAID. It looked better (by comparison, "not so angry-looking") on Friday afternoon and was told to come back the following Thursday. I hope the stitches get taken out lah then.

Weather pretty rainy most nights this week. As a candle princess, I can't complain too much.
  • Word on the street is that Don Don Donki (aka Don Quijote in Japan) is opening at Lot 10 as soon as this month? As I type this, I can hear the Don Don jingle playing in my head. Seriously, I don't know how people who work anywhere with a jingle do it.
  • Tried out AEON's garlic cream cheese bread. The cream cheese component was a little gross for me, tbh - it was sweet and had freaking raw onions in it.
  • My guess is Nurflix came out of the ashes of Aflix - different name, same bullshit.
  • Two different groups of fans (or not? But wasn't into GLEE myself, so..) were upset this week when one of the former GLEE castmembers was found dead in a lake and then former Mythbuster Grant Imahara died of a brain aneurysm.
  • Kelly Preston also succumbed to cancer this week.
