- Some kind soul has uploaded episodes of the new season of MasterChef Jr Australia, so yes lah.
- Despite having seen it donkey years ago, I plopped money to see a (one night only) filmed production of Alfian Sa'at's play Nadirah that was staged in Japan a few years after I saw it in person in KL. #CMCONadirah
(Apparently over 700 tickets were sold, which was an amazing feat; but I wish I could say the same of my ticket purchasing experience because their payment gateway crapped out on me right after I had keyed in the OTP [money got deducted] and I had to FBM someone on their side to resolve the issue. I think I've seen 2 or 3 productions on CloudTheatre during this pandemic and twice I've had issues like this; but I think I would be more upset if there was an additional ticketing charge, so..) - Took long enough for the Fast & Furious franchise to finally end after 2 more movies. Erm, okay la, I guess.
- CBS finally announced when the dramas are coming back. Didn't know NCIS and both FBI shows are gonna be on the same night.
- Burger King is bringing back the choc pie.... mmm.
- Top Chef is just straight up going after the MasterChef franchise by doing their own version of it (hosted by Gail), calling it Top Chef Amateurs. Erm, ok then.
- An Addams Family TV reboot? Really ah?
- Sigur Ros announced a new album, due in December. I'm curious.
- There's been so much flip-flopping with regards to the WFH order/guidance, no one can keep track any more. I know I can't.
- PSA: If your workplace is registered with SOCSO (as in, there's SOCSO deductions in your payslips every month), you could get SOCSO-funded COVID testing done. But it's a one-time thing and I think the labs that are doing it are swamped with requests when they initially announced that everyone who are not WFH have to do the swab test (but it was later announced that only non-Malaysian staff have to do it, so yeah... flip-flop, everybody). But you as the employee cannot claim this; only the employer can. Which is just as well because the swab tests are at least RM2xx now out of pocket. And no, you can't claim the expense from your (personal) medical insurance, even though a lot of insurance companies have added COVID coverage now UNLESS you've been diagnosed or admitted - it's a sunk cost.
- Some HK butter cookie company was supposed to set up physical shop in Malaysia, but pandemic got in the way so now they're selling them online...? (yeah, like the Cheesecake Factory cakes). People who had it before said it wasn't anything special.
- Both my Book Depository order and Radiohead t-shirt pre-order finally arrived on Friday. Yay. But I should've gone a size up on the t-shirt, maybe. Cis.
