It's not often I get to watch a movie on the first day, but cos it's a public holiday and I had nothing else going, might as well go watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Went back to 3 Damansara (fka Tropicana City Mall) to watch this last instalment of the franchise, where I had also seen the first two movies. Haven't realised it's been so long since the second movie, because the Guardians have been in other MCU movies in between. Compared to the other GSC in the vicinity, a morning ticket was a couple bucks cheaper and they also had a ala carte small popcorn as an option on the app.
- Wasn't expecting to hear a Radiohead song at the start, NGL. Guess which one, but it's probably the one you're thinking of. Did Radiohead have to sign off on this? How?
- I wonder how much was spent clearing the songs used in this franchise.
- Seriously, how are they charging the Zune? Was also expecting at least an iPod by this point, but maybe Apple said no.
- To those of you who wanted a Rocket Raccoon backstory, you got it in this one. And man, some of it is kinda hard to watch.
- Probably the most we'll see Elizabeth Debicki's Ayesha and Will Poulter's Adam Warlock since the stinger from the second movie?
- Took long enough for him to go look up his grandfather back on Earth-616.
